So. How do I reduce high blood pressure without taking drugs?

In a meta-study of seventeen clinical trials evaluating the effects of yoga on high blood pressure, eleven of the studies reported that yoga reduces systolic blood pressure more than other treatments including drugs (Posadzki P, Cramer H, Kuzdzal A, et al. Yoga for hypertension: a systematic review of randomized clinical trials. Complement Ther Med. 2014 Jun;22(3):511-22).

Eight studies reported that yoga leads to greater reductions in diastolic blood pressure (the lower number in a blood pressure measurement) than other treatment options including drugs.

Some studies did not show such benefits, however, and the scientists felt more research was needed.
